The Season Has Begun

This weekend Pete and I headed to Columbus for the Ohio State vs Navy game, the first game of the 09 season.

Not surprisingly it was another good weekend. We were a little out of synch as we stayed downtown (rather than at Hineygate / Holiday on Lane as we had for the last four years), obtained a new parking pass for a location where we had not parked before, and had some difficulty finding Lisa, our great "cigar lady" friend.

We managed to work around these few issues, and after finding Lisa and then meeting up with Pete's son, Jim and Jim's cousin Andrew from London, we saw an exciting game (that we had hoped wouldn't be that exciting!) and had a fun Saturday evening at a local Greek Festival.

Good time, Andrew!!! Hope you enjoyed the Buckeyes and our company.

Here we are at the Greek Festival...lamb and pastries... Life is good!!!

And Andrew wanted one final beer at Barley's.

The pre game opened with BOTH TEAMS entering "the Shoe" at the same time. This was Coach Tressel's way of showing respect to the Navy team. Do not believe this has ever occurred previously at an OSU football game.

Here is the football team, led by Coach Tressel, as they walk to St. Johns for the traditional "Skull Session".
