OSU 28 vs Minnesota 14

On our way down to the game Friday, Pete and I met my cousin Jeff at a new microbrewery in Polaris. It's called the Brass Tap and has over 80 beers on tap. It was good to re-connect with Jeff.

After arriving at the hotel, we called Jeff and Sharon and met them at the Stack City Burger Bar on High Street for a "nightcap".

On Saturday morning we met up with Jeff and Sharon again for a small breakfast at the North Market... just a coffee and a doughnut!!

Pete and I headed back to the hotel and spent most of the early afternoon watching football games.
Later in the afternoon, we headed to the stadium. On the way to the stadium, we found a new microbrewery, The Seventh Son Brewing Co. on N. 4th Street. (We actually ran into a couple from Youngstown there. He graduated from Ursuline and we had several mutual friends).

What a great night for football!!!!!

OSU vs. Penn State - October 17 - "The Black-Out"

Friday afternoon, Pete and I stopped at the Phoenix Microbrewery in Mansfield on our way to Columbus... Good people and GOOD beer!

Once in Columbus, we found Jeff and Sharon and went and ate at the Stack City Burger Bar and later stopped and had a beer at the Short North Tavern.

On Saturday morning we were invited to Jeff and Sharon's for a Bloody Mary and to see their house in the Short North. Beautiful home, built around 1895.

We also connected with Sherry (for whom we owe our season tickets) and we went to lunch at Cap City Diner on Olentangy Road.

Pre-game we found Zatch and his family at their tailgate. Once again, GOOD people!!

After we left Jeff's tailgate, we walked over to the next tailgating lot and found Dave and his friends. (We met Dave two Fridays ago at the Mansfield Brewery and this Friday he invited us to his tailgate) Dave and his friends were very hospitable and we had a beer and some great white chocolate popcorn (great combination, huh??!)

For this special night game, all those who were going to attend the 8 p.m. kick-off were asked to dress in black (remember last years "White Out" at Penn State)

What an entrance onto the field!!!

One GREAT weekend, capped off with a GREAT Win!!!!

We stayed at the Double Tree Hilton on S. Front Street and after we checked in, we met Jeff and Sharon at the World of Beers .

Saturday, we drove down on campus and joined up with Stacie and Nolan and his brother Brett. We also found Joel and Jay.

ALWAYS a good time!!

It was a tough one, but we'll take the win!!!

We then met Stacie and Nolan at Champs
for a late night drink and sandwich.

OSU vs. Hawaii

Our first home game was against Hawaii. Pete and I enjoyed a great weekend.
On Friday evening we connected with the Duke and Duchess of the Short North (Jeff and Sharon) and went to the North Market Beerfest. A little rain... but a good time!!

After the Beerfest, Dave went to the Flat Iron for a nightcap. While there he met up with a great group of guys from Hawaii. After sharing a couple of beers, the four of us went back and had a beer with Pete.

On game day, we took Eddie, Mel and Darryl with us to campus and to the game. While on campus they introduced us to the Chancellor of the University of Hawaii.
