What a disappointing game.
Ohio State had three interceptions...and had the ball for 74 seconds the 4th quarter (3 downs).
....and Illinois had 260 yards on the ground against our defense.
Fianl score: Illinois 28 Ohio State 21.
We again had a room at Hineygate. Some of those that stopped by our room included: Dave and Marsha, Cheryl and Linda, Joel, Jay and Tom, Rose, Gina and Josh.
Room looks a little desheveled...was a little more presentable when "guest" were here.
Some pictures from my seat in section 2A...a little chill in the air, but great weather for the game.

"Don't tell George"
Only Pete and I made it to Columbus this weekend to watch the Ohio State vs. Northwestern game.
Friday night we went to the OSU girl's volleyball game and then met cousin Jeff at Champs.
Saturday morning, I rolled over, asked Pete what time it was and he responded, "don't tell George, it's 8:45" (George always has us up and moving by 7:30 a.m.)
The game was a "blowout" at 58 - 7, but after the game we "closed" Hineygate, walked through Riverwatch and then back to Champs restaurant that evening.
A few pictures I took from our seats in section D, Row 3:
Final Score : Ohio State 58 Northwestern 7

Baltimore - Boats, Bars, and Baseball
Six of us - Joe, Joe, Pete, Howard, Brad and Dave - flew out of Cleveland for Baltimore last Thursday afternoon.
We had reservations for The Tremont Hotel in downtown Baltimore. When we arrived, we went to Milton's up the street from the hotel and had a drink and some supper.
The Tremont Hotel
Friday morning we got up early and took a two hour Segway tour of the city. We took our tour guide, Bill, for a beer after our Segway tour. We went to a pub called, "Ale Mary's" for soup and a beer.
Friday evening we walked to Camden Yards for the Baltimore vs. Chicago White Sox game. Baltimore won 2-0 on two homeruns. Beautiful stadium and great atmosphere in the ballpark's surroundings. Here are a few pictures of the guys with the vendors, the interior of the club section and some pictures during the game.
Much of Saturday was spent at the Inner Harbor...what a neat area...restaurants, ESPNZone, Hard Rock Cafe, aquarium, pubs, museums and on-going entertainment. We also took the water taxi and toured Fort McHenry...great tour! Some Inner harbor pictures :
On Sunday morning, before flying home, we went to the Babe Ruth's Birthplace Museum. After touring the museum, we stopped at Quigley's Bar and then found Maggie Moore's Irish Pub.
Where Babe Ruth was born...nice display of Babe Ruth artifacts.
"The Guys" at Maggie Moore's.
"One GREAT weekend!!"

"Too Fat and Too Old"
On March 15, the guys headed to Columbus for the NCAA South First and Second Round Basketball Tournament. We drove down Thursday evening and had tickets for the four games on Friday and two games on Sunday.
Joe had booked us rooms at the Drury Inn about a year ago. Great accommodations...and only two blocks from the Nationwide arena.
Qoutable Qoute: One night as we came back to the hotel, the clerk asked, "How you guys doing?"
Pete responded, "We're OK...just too fat and too old!"
Here's George, Jeff and Pete at their seats at Nationwide.
This picture was taken from our seats (with a slight zoom on the camera) and it was during the Illinois vs. Virginia Tech game on Thursday evening. Illinois was beat in the last few minutes of the game.
...And this picture is during the Southern Illinois vs. Holy Cross game later Friday evening.
On Sunday, we watched the Virginia vs. Tennessee game at 12:10 and then the Virginia Tech vs. Southern Illinois at 2:40.
We were on road home by 6:00. We stopped at Jake's in Ashland on the way home.
Although some of us complained earlier that we should have "gone away" for the Regionals this year (as in past years), the trip to Columbus proved once again to be a great time. A few local pubs were frequented (O'Shaunessy's, the FlatIron, Max and Erma's, the bar at the Hyatt Regency, Gordon Biersch Brewery and Jake's to mention a few) and a good time was had by all!!!!
